Tim Burtons ~ Alice in Wonderland ~ Little Space Monkey Reviews

"Tim Burtons ~ Alice in Wonderland sacrifices the books minimal narrative coherence -- and much of its heart -- but it's an undeniable visual treat. The visual splendor is more than enough to feast your eyes on, so it's too bad that the dialogue in the film couldn't live up to its look. It reminds me most of Sleepy Hollow: empty, faux-atmospheric, and without soul. Tim Burton's latest assault on the senses is partially redeemed by Johnny Depp's brilliant acting." Above is what I would say if I was movie critic reviewing a kids movie and taking my job way to seriously. Really?? Now for some real reviews from the intended audience:
My 9 year old Sara Ashley says when ask if she liked the movie: : “Ummhum it is Awesome!”
David my newly turned 7 year old says: “It was awesomely amazing and spectacular:
Owen age 5 and Jen’s boy said: “Avatar is my most favorite move but this is my second most favorite.”
I can not hope to do a better review than that for this movie. Cause I am not a pretentious prick who over analyzes what I can not do. I will say the IMAX is great but not necessary if you want to save a few bucks. It is a dark movie, as most Tim Burton movies are but feel very comfortable taking your children. We think it is very kid friendly and a treat for the adults who go with them.
