Make your New Year's Resolution a Project!!!

I was driving back from my New Years Eve fun today and called my dear friend to wish her a Happy New Years and she ask me what my resolutions were.  I told her I had not thought about it and named some random thing. I wanted to pick back up my daily walk. I wanted to declutter and be more organized. I want to change the people that I prioritize in life and focus on the ones that do the same for me. Find more of those and a lot less of the ones that don't.  All great ideas but how will I track this and not make the ideas fade away.   Well my wonderful friend said she had someone suggest a book called The Happiness Project.  She was currently reading it and loved it.  I picked up a copy for myself and plan to make my New Year's Resolution a project and I am going to do it with a friend. The author (Gretchen Rubin) provides you with extra tools on her blog and the best part is you design your project to best fit you.   The purpose of her book is to help you find true happiness and Gretchen truly gives you the tools to do it.

I know some fantastic people who are so blessed but seem to always be unfulfilled.  It seems to me to be self induced. I will be recommending this project for them and I recommend it for you. Gretchen has created a way to put life in perspective and to help us get the most out of it.  This was a huge discovery for me because she has taken a fundamental philosophy of mine to a entirely higher level.  Do something great for yourself in 2012 and buy this book. Happy New Year!!!!!
